Kamlesh Nagarkoti, a young fast bowler, will revive his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Nagarkoti went unsold in the IPL 2024 mini-auction. In the IPL 2025 mega auction, CSK bought him for his base price of ₹30 lakh. It was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The 24-year-old is eager to join CSK and play under the great MS Dhoni.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti’s Journey to CSK
Nagarkoti first burst onto the cricketing scene during the 2018 U-19 World Cup. His raw pace and ability to exceed 145 kph made headlines. He played a key role in India’s win. So, he became one of the most sought-after young talents in Indian cricket.
After the U-19 success, KKR signed Nagarkoti for ₹3.20 crore before IPL 2018. However, injuries have often limited his IPL participation.

The Barmer-born pacer is excited to share a dressing room with the five-time IPL champions. They are known for their consistency and leadership.
Overcoming Injuries and Eyeing a Successful Stint
Nagarkoti said he has worked hard on his fitness. He wants to overcome the injuries that have held back his progress in recent years.
“I never imagined that I would ever be able to play with him. I have worked a lot on my fitness, and I am injury-free now. The injuries troubled me for years and kept me out of action. Sometimes, you get frustrated, annoyed, and upset, but I kept telling myself that I would make a comeback. I am in a happy space now.” he added.
“CSK are five-time champions. My next aim is to become a part of the title-winning CSK side this time and help them win their record sixth title. I am really excited to meet Dhoni sir. I am looking forward to a successful and triumphant season with CSK this time,” he added.
Nagarkoti is hopeful to help CSK win a sixth IPL title.
