Arshdeep, Varun Dropped as Bangladesh Shocks India with Toss Decision – CT 2025
India starts its Champions Trophy 2025 journey against Bangladesh on February 20. The match will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss. He chose to bat first, starting an important opening match.
India, under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, will play without Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy. They are not in the playing XI. Rohit said at the toss that he would have liked to field first because of the conditions under the lights.
“Well, I would’ve fielded first as I feel we have played few years back out here so it plays better under the lights. We feel chasing is better. Anyways, they won the toss and opted to bat so now we need to see how we do with the ball.“
