Meanwhile, England captain Jos Buttler admitted they had also considered batting first.

“Yeah, we would have batted first as well. Was 50-50. But it looks a good surface. (On announcing XI two days ago) We are not hiding anything. We are confident in the guys and we are really excited for the game.”
