Rachin was the highest run-scorer in the tournament

New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra was the Player of the Tournament and scored 251 runs at an average of 62.75, which includes two centuries. However, he could not score big against India in the final. Zadran, who managed to make it to the ICC team as an opener, scored 177 runs against England, which is the highest individual score in the tournament’s history. At the same time, India’s Virat Kohli scored 218 runs, which includes a century and a half-century. Kohli also completed 14000 runs in ODIs during the tournament.

KL Rahul gets the responsibility of wicketkeeper

Shreyas Iyer, who was a strong link in the Indian middle order, scored 243 runs in five matches at an average of 48.6, which includes two half-centuries. He was the highest run-scorer for India in the tournament. Rahul has been selected as the wicketkeeper, who has scored 140 runs at an average of 140. Rahul’s highest individual score in the tournament was 42 not out. New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips also performed brilliantly and took five catches besides scoring 177 runs and taking two wickets.

Performance of other players in the team

Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai scored 126 runs and took seven wickets including a five-wicket haul. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner performed well in bowling along with captaincy. He took nine wickets at an economy rate of 4.80. India’s experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami took a total of nine wickets in the tournament including a five-wicket haul.

New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry, who could not play the final due to injury, performed brilliantly.He took 10 wickets which was the highest. Henry took five wickets against India in the group stage. Spinner Varun Chakraborty, who proved to be a trump card for India, was successful in making a place in the ICC team. Varun took nine wickets. India’s Akshar Patel got a place as the 12th player who made a useful contribution with the bat as well as the ball.
