Shami Marks His ICC Return in Style
Shami’s spot in the 2025 Champions Trophy sparked debate. Many questioned his form after a tough 2024 filled with injuries. The right-arm pacer missed the whole year because of heel and knee problems. He had a hard time finding his rhythm during his limited return against England in ODIs and T20Is.
Shami proved his critics wrong. He matched his 2023 World Cup form, bowling fast and accurately.
India Dominates as Bangladesh Struggles Early
At the 7-over mark, Bangladesh was reeling at 26/3, with Shami picking up another wicket. Young pacer Harshit Rana also made an impact, dismissing Najmul Hossain Shanto.
With Shami leading India, Bangladesh has a tough fight in their first match of the Champions Trophy 2025.
