Mohammed Siraj Reveals Travis Head’s Controversial Behavior in Second Test

Mohammed Siraj Exposes Travis Head’s Controversial Remarks

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has called out Australian batter Travis Head. He accused Head of abusive behavior and false claims during the second Test at the Adelaide Oval. Siraj alleged that Head insulted him after the dismissal. This contradicted the Australian player’s statement in the post-match press conference.

The Incident: Siraj vs. Head

Travis Head was dismissed by Siraj on Day 2 after a fiery send-off. Following his wicket, Head claimed in a press conference, “I said well bowled to him but he went a bit too far and I am disappointed. I can’t say about India but we would have never behaved in that way,”

Siraj, however, shared a different perspective during an interaction with Harbhajan Singh on Day 3.

“My blood was boiling because he had hit me for a four and a six. He abused me when I dismissed him and then he lied in the press conference. He didn’t praise me but was abusive. His statement was not right as we don’t disrespect anyone infact we respect our opponents. My reaction to his dismissal was because of the words he used,” Mohammed Siraj said.

Travis Head’s Performance and Match Context

Despite the controversy, Travis Head’s innings was pivotal for Australia. He scored a brilliant 140 runs off 141 balls, including 17 fours and 4 sixes, pushing Australia’s total to 377.

India, in response, struggled with the bat. After scoring 180 runs in their first innings, they were at 128/5 in their second, trailing by 29 runs. However, India still led the series 1-0 after a commanding victory in the opener at Perth by 295 runs.
