Delhi Capitals has appointed Axar Patel as the new captain of the team for the IPL 2025 season. Axar Patel is the longest-serving player of Delhi Capitals. He started his journey with the team in the year 2019. Since then he has become one of the most trusted all-rounders of the team and one of the players performing at the top level.
Patel has played 82 matches for Delhi Capitals so far. In which he has taken 62 wickets with an economy of 7.09. Patel has scored 967 runs. After the departure of Rishabh Pant and the addition of KL Rahul to the team, Delhi has bet on Akshar Patel, who performed brilliantly in the Champions Trophy.
