Captain’s Insights on the Pitch & Strategy
Ashleigh Gardner (GG-W Captain):
“Looks like a very nice batting track. Compared to Bengaluru, there is a bit more grass on it. You have to be able to adapt really quickly. We found that when we went from Vadodara, where the bounce was low, to Bengaluru, where there was a bit more bounce.
We will be striving for 170+. But there is no ceiling on what we can put up. No changes to the team”.
Deepti Sharma (UPW-W Captain):
“We are going to bowl first. We have seen the wicket. We reckon that it will help the bowlers initially. When we came to Lucknow, the kind of welcome we received gave us a lot of motivation. We have had two net sessions. Preparation has been good. Two changes for us. Georgia Voll and Gouher Sultana come in.”
